The Knight-Georgetown Institute (KGI) helps to shape how technology is used to produce, disseminate, and access information. As a new organization, they were seeking to establish themselves as a trusted, non-partisan, and rigorous central hub.
KGI’s freshly minted brand and website reflects the organization's expertise: educating and engaging with policymakers, media, and researchers alike.

Abstracted KGI letters confidently stand at the heart of the new logo. Elemental in nature, the geometric mark plays with the theme of translation, embodying what the organization is all about—turning complexity into clarity.
The overarching brand system features foundational elements that are equally practical and contemporary.
A flexible logo works well in both horizontal and vertical spaces
Simple photography treatments and collages easily make any imagery feel stylized and on-brand

Geometric shapes inspired by the logo help to abstractly represent complex ideas and content
The brand was further pushed through a highly scannable and flexible website with a boldly simple aesthetic. The visual design system is sharp, well-structured, and striking in its simplicity.
